Terms of Service

Effective date: October 4, 2026

These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and the developer of Sabrio, the individual listed as the seller on the App Store, based in Massachusetts ("we", "us"). They cover your use of the Sabrio mobile app (the "App").

1. Accepting these terms

By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the App.

2. Who can use the App

You must be at least 13. If you're under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission, and they agree to these terms for you.

3. Your account

Give us accurate information when you sign up and keep your sign-in details to yourself. You're responsible for what happens under your account. Rankings are based on your profile, so keep your allergies and diet up to date.

4. Food, allergies, and health

Sabrio reads restaurant menus and uses AI to estimate things about each dish, like ingredients, allergens, calories, and whether it fits your diet, then ranks the dishes against your profile.

These are estimates, and they can be wrong. We don't get information from restaurant kitchens. Recipes change and menus leave things out, and the AI makes its own mistakes on top of that. Sabrio is not medical or nutritional advice and doesn't replace your doctor or the restaurant. If you have a food allergy, an intolerance, or a religious or medical diet, always confirm with restaurant staff before you order. The restaurant's word is final.

You decide what to eat. You're responsible for that decision and accept the risk that comes with it. In an emergency, call 911.

5. Your license to use the App

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use, as long as you follow these terms. We keep all rights in the App that these terms don't give you.

6. Things you can't do

7. Your content

You own the photos, ratings, notes, and messages you add. You give us a license to store and use them to run and improve the App for you, as our Privacy Policy describes. The license ends when you delete the content or your account, except as described next.

When you scan a menu, the dishes we read from it (names, prices, descriptions, and our estimates) become part of that restaurant's menu in Sabrio, and other people at the same restaurant can see them. They aren't linked to you, and we can keep them after you delete your account. Your photos stay private.

8. Other services and app stores

The App uses information from other services, like restaurant details and reviews from Google, and AI from the providers listed in our Privacy Policy. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content. If you got the App from Apple's App Store, Apple's standard license terms also apply, these terms are between you and us rather than Apple, and Apple has no duty to support the App.

9. Ending your use

You can stop using the App whenever you like and delete your account in the App's settings. We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms or misuse the App. The App is free and still early, so we may also change features, add usage limits, or stop offering it. Sections 4, 7, and 10 through 15 keep applying after your account ends.

10. No warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available." To the extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will be accurate, complete, uninterrupted, or error-free, or that it will suit any particular purpose, including keeping you safe from allergens.

11. Limit on our liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for anything that results from relying on the App's estimates instead of checking with the restaurant. Our total liability to you for any claim about the App is limited to $50. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

12. Indemnity

If someone makes a claim against us because you broke these terms or misused the App, you agree to cover our reasonable costs from that claim, including legal fees.

13. Law and disputes

Massachusetts law governs these terms, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute goes to the state or federal courts located in Massachusetts, unless the law where you live says otherwise. Before filing anything, please email us so we can try to sort it out.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the App changes. When we do, we'll change the effective date at the top, and we'll tell you in the App or by email if the change is significant. If you keep using the App after that, you accept the new terms.

15. The legal fine print

These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the App. If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a term right away, we can still enforce it later. You can't transfer these terms to someone else, but we can transfer them if someone takes over running the App.
